Hello from the other side ....

Me

Well I confess that it has been a while since I've visited this blog - let alone contributed to it. I'm not sure how,or when exactly- but at some point over the last two years I stopped looking at my life from the outside and started living it. I've become comfortable, safe.

To say that I have been fortunate during this time is an understatement. I have continued to live and grow in the city that never sleeps, I have travelled to six countries, and I have managed to find a job that continues to challenge me everyday and allows me to contribute to the future of healthcare in the UK. Lucky - eh? For such a loud voice it has taken a long time to find someone who listens and who was willing to give me a shot.

Most importantly though - I have finally started to settle and have made a pretty great home for myself in London surrounded by some pretty decent people. I think in some ways I have begun to take this life for granted and reading my blog has reminded me of how I felt when I left New Zealand and why I began on this adventure of a lifetime in the first place. Well that adventure is still continuing and I want to make sure I don't forget it for a second. The types of adventures may have changed but they are still there nonetheless. The blog is back.

Now to play catch up. I have selected a few photos to catch everyone up to speed on my travels but here are the main things that have happened since early 2013.

1. I have aged (shock) - I am fast approaching my 29th birthday and am determined to complete my goal of 30 countries before 30. Only six more to go!

2. I have a cat - Charlie. He was called Maggie for the first three precious months of his life until we realised he was a boy and had testicles.

3. I found out that I am questionably not responsible enough to have a cat and certainly should never be in charge of naming future pets. On the plus side - i have taught Charlie to sit and play fetch - video proof available.

4. I live in North Finchley and am a North Londoner now.

5. I still have my kiwi accent especially when pronouncing red, bed, fish or data.

6. I still work in health regulation but have moved to compliance and education and have a team to support me (wahoo).

7. I am attending my fourth Glastonbury festival.

8. I have mastered the trapeze and am going horse riding next weekend!

9. I now like blue cheese.

10. I no longer fear the night bus and have mastered public transport - a small yet important victory!
